Arron Bortoft

Arron has over 25 years experience in family law, the majority of which was spent practicing at well renowned firms in Mayfair and the City.

Arron focuses predominantly on high net worth finance and children proceedings. His work often concerns significant value or complexity, jurisdiction issues, offshore assets or trusts.

The Legal 500 have identified Arron as a “leading individual” in their 2019 and 2020 editions, whilst recording that he “is a highly experienced and diligent operator, having practiced at the top end of the financial remedy work for many years; he is tireless in fighting his client’s corner”

Arron believes that the lawyer and client relationship is key to a successful outcome. As a consequence, that bond has meant that he has remained in contact with many clients as friends over the years.

Arron is creative and driven once litigation is required, but also promotes the use of alternative dispute resolution methods, such as arbitration or private settlement hearings.

He has worked on some of the more heavyweight and complex litigation in recent years, most notably Quan v Bray in the High Court and Court of Appeal.

Outside of the workplace, Arron is an avid fly fisherman who enjoys the challenge of a complex recipe in the kitchen and spending time with his family and dogs.
